Horses For Sale

A Little About Never Too Old Horse Rescue

Bill and Deana Donohue, Owners

  • I am not a non-profit rescue.

My husband and I do this out of our own pockets.    However   we do let the horses help as much as they can.  I sell the horses at a price that I believe will give you  your money's worth. I have lots of expenses with the rescue,  all horse-related. I am not paying for a trailer, barn, land or anything except vet bills, feed bills and right now, hay.

  • If you see a horse that interests you, contact me and we will make an appointment for you to come see us and the horses. Please keep in mind, if you make an appointment with us and you are unable to come, just call. Our time is valuable too, and when we wait around for no-shows, it takes away from the time that could be spent at the feed store or the vet or with a customer that is really interested.  This is very important to us, we take it very seriously, and when people do not stay true to their word, we question whether they will stay true to the horse. Also, being interested in a horse does not mean we will take it off the market.  Until we have sold a horse and have the money in our hand, that horse is still For Sale.

  • These horses are rescue horses.  I only know what I have been informed of by either the previous owner or from our own experience.  I can not know about past injuries or illness.  If you purchase a horse from me, I will make sure you know everything I know about the horse.

  • If you choose to board your horse, know and trust your boarding facility.  Look at the other horses, look at the owners horses to see how well they are being cared for.  Check over the fences.  Electric fence is not acceptable when you are paying board. Remember you are in control .  After all, you are the one paying for a service.

  • I will no longer leave a horse at a facility or owner property if I do not feel good about the situation, despite the new owners insistence. If I can see potential problems with the future home of the horse, I will not leave the horse.  Other arrangements will have to be made.

I am currently unable to ride due to foot surgery. I can provide a rider for several of the horses. I am not desperate, so I will be very particular as to the future of these horses. Some have had very rough lives, and I will not sell any horse     if I do not feel a connection has been made to form a lasting relationship with the horse.

I have the option of saying "No Deal."

Thank you for reading our message.
